Q: What is your original hometown & your current residency place?

A: I was born in Helsinki but grew up in a small suburban town called Grankulla, as well as in the archipelago in southern Finland. I`m currently based in Berlin.

Q: Tell us in a short way about your musical background & early influences.

A: I started taking piano lessons when I was six and soon discoved that I love singing as well. I also wrote my first songs around that time. I remember my parents had CD:s from Tina Turner and Tracy Chapman and I loved the power in their voices. My mum also listened a lot to a Swedish singer/songwriter called Lisa Ekdahl and I remember singing along to her songs.

Q: What is your favorite digital service to discover fresh new music?

A: I use Spotify and have discovered a lot of good music from there, but I respect bandcamp more for giving fans a way to buy music from their favourite artists directly.

Q: What is the very first musical product you acquired or discovered?

A: My biggest inspiration when I was eleven was a Swedish child singer called Amy Diamond. She was just a couple years older than me so I really admired that she was already releasing her own music. I got her CD as a christmas gift and everyday after school I sang along to her songs. I knew them all by heart. I really looked up to her and she inspired me to want to become a singer full time.

Q: Which of your own projects is exciting you the most at the moment?

A: The last five years since I started to produce myself fulltime in Berlin I have been working on my debut full length album. It turned out to become a concept double-album that will be released in two parts. It`s a sort of science fiction story based on earth values dealing with creating a more harmonious society. Besides the musical part of it I have created my own visual world consisting of my neon, trippy, colorful art. The paintings give a face to the music and help telling the story of the album and it has been super fun to work with different mediums at the same time. Part of the project is also a clothing collection made of fully recycled clothes that I have collected from the streets of Berlin and turned into new creations. This multi- medium project has been like my baby the last years and I can`t wait to see it out in the world living it`s own life.

Q: Which are your proudest musical achievement and a genuine milestone in your career?

A: If you asked a younger version of me, I would probably answer that it`s its all the high-profile producers, songwriters and artists I`ve had the possiblity to work with during the years, like LP in Los Angeles, Zara Larsson in Sweden and Kumi Koda in Japan, or that I got to play some big festivals like Flow Festival in Finland and signed a major record deal at 19. And sure, those are cool achievments and validation as a musician, but asking me today my honest reply would be that I had the courage to start producing and mixing my own music. All the work I`ve put into refining my craft so that I feel free knowing that I am able to finalise my visions from the first idea to the final mix. The most genuine milestone in my career was when I decided to really trust my visions and work hard to finalise them without looking for approval from big labels or other people. Since then I feel so much more accomplished because I am able to actually finalise my projects and get them out into the world in a raw and authentic way, just the way I sound. To feel strong enough to speak my mind through my art is really such a rewarding feeling.

Q: What is your dream gig and performance location today?

A: I would love to play a festival in the forest or the jungle somewhere. It doesn`t really matter where, only that its full of freaky, fun and colorful people!
